Aga Khan Museum

The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, established in 2014, is managed by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, part of the Aga Khan Development Network. Located at 77 Wynford Drive, it presents a Permanent Collection of over 1,000 objects—manuscripts, ceramics, metalwork, paintings—spanning from the ninth through the twenty‑first century and reflecting artistic traditions across the Muslim world, from Iberia to China. Designed by Pritzker Prize–winner Fumihiko Maki, the museum’s architecture and surrounding gardens emphasize the interplay of light, shadow and space, offering a contemplative environment integrated with the adjacent Ismaili Centre and landscape by Vladimir Djurovic.
