Avee Health
Avee Health is a British Columbia–based telehealth service designed to simplify access to primary healthcare. Available exclusively to BC residents with a valid provincial health card, Avee allows patients to book free phone consultations with licensed physicians. The service eliminates the need for travel or long waits at walk-in clinics by connecting patients directly with doctors over the phone.
Through Avee, patients can receive prescriptions, renewals, medical notes for work or school, and lab requisitions. Medications can be sent directly to over 500 partner pharmacies across the province, with many offering home delivery options. This approach supports both urban and rural residents, ensuring continuity of care regardless of location.
The platform highlights accessibility and convenience. Appointments are arranged online in minutes, and a doctor calls the patient at the scheduled time. More than 100 physicians are registered with Avee, and the service has already supported over 200,000 consultations.
Although Avee does not offer a mobile application, its streamlined phone-first model makes it straightforward for patients who may not be comfortable with complex digital platforms. It is particularly valuable for those without a family doctor or needing quick access for routine concerns.
While national services like Maple or TELUS Health cover multiple provinces, Avee’s focus on BC enables localized care with strong pharmacy integration. The service is especially relevant for patients in Vancouver and throughout the province, but it does not extend to other Canadian cities.
