Bluffers Park & Beach
Bluffer’s Park & Beach is located on the Scarborough Bluffs overlooking Lake Ontario and covers a gentle shoreline area at the base of towering sandy cliffs. The park features a sandy beach monitored during summer months, an official boat launch and dock, picnic areas and short walking trails along the water’s edge and into the escarpment forest. Water quality is tested regularly to ensure safe swimming conditions.
Visitors can explore Bluffers Bluff Lookout Park above by nearby trails, or rent a canoe or kayak via vendors in nearby Port Union or Scarborough. The park offers free entry, parking fees, public washrooms and accessible pathways, with picnic shelters, playgrounds and shaded lawns ideal for family outings during warm months.
Operated by Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation, the site remains more natural and rugged compared with inner‑city parks, offering dramatic cliff views and larger undeveloped woodland sections. It is less crowded than downtown beaches, making it a good destination for scenic nature breaks while remaining within city limits.
Summer weekends can become busy, especially from the lookout area and beach access path. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, check wind and wave conditions at the Scarborough Bluffs, and remain on designated trails to protect fragile cliff edges and forest habitats.
