Edmonton Arts Council
The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC) is a non-profit society and registered charity established in 1995, dedicated to supporting, promoting, and inspiring the arts across Edmonton. Fueled by funding from the City of Edmonton and other partners, it invests in individual artists, festivals, arts organizations, public art, and community programming—bringing arts into everyday city life.
Core services include a suite of grant programs across individuals, collectives, and organizations—including operating, programming, and equity-focused streams—along with administering the City’s public art policy and collection. The EAC also operates Shop & Services in Churchill Square, offering box office services and retail partnerships to amplify local creators.
Through community activations and collaborations, EAC brings arts to Edmonton’s neighbourhoods—supporting over 140 events in diverse areas and engaging local residents with culture embedded within their environments. Strategic direction is guided by “Connections & Exchanges,” a 10-year cultural plan to infuse arts and heritage into civic fabric through equity, innovation and collaboration.
As a connector, advocate, investor, and public art steward, the Edmonton Arts Council plays a vital role in cultivating a culturally rich, inclusive, and resilient urban community across Edmonton.
