Governance & Network

Strengths & Challenges
Strengths:
- High reputation nationally and provincially in multiple specialties.
- Strong research capacity through Lady Davis Institute.
- Digital tools and patient navigation support (apps, way-finding) that enhance user experience.
Challenges / Considerations:
- As a large teaching hospital in a diverse urban area, patient volumes are high, which can lead to wait times in emergency / clinics.
- Navigation inside large hospital complexes can be confusing; while there are supportive tools, some users (visitors or patients unfamiliar with physical layout) may still find it hard.
- Language and cultural diversity mean services need to continuously adapt to ensure access, especially for non-English/French speakers.
Practical Information
- Address is 3755 Côte-Ste-Catherine Road, Montréal, Québec, Canada. Main phone line: 514-340-8222.
- It includes multiple entrances (Côte-des-Neiges, Légaré, Pavilion K, etc.) and sites for special care (e.g., Lady Davis Institute, Segal Cancer Centre).
