Well.ca is a Canadian e-commerce retailer established in 2008 in Guelph, Ontario. It carries a diverse selection of health, beauty, baby, home and natural products across more than 40,000 items. Founded by Ali Asaria, it grew into Canada’s leading online store in its category.

Ownership and Structure

From 2017 until late-2024, Well.ca was owned by McKesson Corporation (via McKesson Canada). In September 2024, Birch Hill Equity Partners reached an agreement to acquire Well.ca, a transaction finalized by December 2024. Since then, Birch Hill serves as its parent company while McKesson continues as wholesale distributor.

Operations and Logistics

Well.ca’s headquarters and one of its distribution centres remain in Guelph, Ontario. In August 2023, it opened a second distribution centre in Calgary, Alberta, improving shipping reach. Most orders are delivered within 2 to 5 days across Canada, depending on stock, location, and courier.
